Semen freezing is done on Monday through Friday before
11 a.m. This process requires several hours to complete.
However, the dog is required to be present for the first 45
minutes for paperwork and semen collection. Semen quality
is affected by dogs age and health condition, it can also be
enhanced by presence of a bitch in heat. Following the
freezing process we will thaw one straw and evaluate the
success of the freezing. We will report to you the number
of straws, quality following thaw and equate that to the
number of breedings possible. Limited semen storage is
available at the clinic. Excess semen is shipped to
Synbiotics in
California. You will be billed
annually for storage costs.
