Our veterinary clinic was founded in 1970 by Dr. Tom Holcomb of Adel, Iowa. The building in which the clinic is currently located was a dentist's office built in 1930. It was converted to a veterinary clinic in 1950. Dr. Holcomb came to Adel in 1970 and practiced both large and small animal veterinary medicine at 112 South 9th Street until 1980, when the practice was relocated to Greene Street. The original building on 9th Street was used as office space until 1998, when Dr. Holcomb rennovated the building and re-opened the veterinary practice. In addition to serving the needs of small animals such as dogs and cats, Dr. Holcomb also has a wildlife clinic that rehabilitates injured or orphaned wild animals.
