Pregnancy diagnosis can be performed on day 24 of the pregnancy by using ultrasound.  Around 1 week before the whelping date radiographs can be taken to get a final count on how many pups she will be whelping.  We recommend starting the female on high quality puppy food half way through the pregnancy and continue until the puppies are weaned.
